WELCOME
The World Dance
Institute, founded by the Dance Department at HCC-Central College,
focuses on the study, preservation & performance of traditional
dance. It plans, by drawing on the wealth of artistic experience
in Houston's international community, to pass to new generations
of teachers and students the ancient disciplines that have enriched
humanity for thousands of years. It will seek not only to preserve
our common heritage but to inspire the work of artist and teachers
with a vital new vocabulary of dance.
